is available to take your emergency requests for a Sign Language interpreter at any time, day or night, 7 days a week. You can reach us in the event of an emergency by calling 845-566-7951.

During the day the main office staff is on hand to coordinate your request. In the evening, dial the same number and when prompted press “0” and inform the answering service that you have an emergency. They will immediately contact the Sign Language Resources staff person on-call and your call will be returned as quickly as possible. If you are in need of a Sign Language interpreter immediately, the on-call staff person will make every effort to secure an interpreter to handle your request.

Although it would be desirable to have a Sign Language interpreter at your site within minutes of your need, it is not always possible due to the travel time necessary for the interpreter to arrive at your location. Please know that in a serious situation, we will do everything possible to get someone there quickly.

In addition, also be aware that on occasion all of the Sign Language interpreters that might be willing and able to handle emergency assignments may already be on other commitments.
