Kathleen founded Sign Language Resources, Inc. in 1989 along with Mary Darragh MacLean, and is its Vice President and Managing Partner. Kathleen, a self-described "Army Brat", was born in Foley, Alabama, near her father's hometown, while her father was in Jump School, (as in out of airplanes), in Texas. She moved more than 24 times, in many locations around the United States, including West Point, before settling down in New York State.

Kathleen lives In Walden, New York with her husband, Keith, and their four boys, Brian, Kevin, Dale, and Alexander, on 6 beautiful acres; enough room for the boys and all their outdoor toys.

She holds "CSC" certification from RID, and spends most of her time in the office directing the business end of SLR, wearing whatever hat is needed minute to minute. When the need arises Kathleen steps out into the community as a Sign Language interpreter sharing her skills of many years.
