We're thrilled to welcome Keily who has recently joined Sign Language Resources, Inc. as a Staff Sign Language Interpreter.

Keily first became interested in the field of Sign Language Interpreting through Sign Language classes with Mary McLaughlin at Red Hook High School. She went on to graduate from Northeastern University in April, 2005 with a Bachelor of Science degree in ASL/English Interpreting. Afterward, Keily moved to Ithaca, NY, where she worked as a freelance interpreter for just over a year.  In 2006, Keily earned the NAD/RID certification-NIC, and moved to New Orleans, LA, where she continued working as a freelance Sign Language interpreter.  After a year and a half in Louisiana, Keily decided to move "back home". She joined SLR in January of 2008 as Staff Interpreter/Continuing Education Coordinator. When not out in the field interpreting, Keily will be working to coordinate new learning opportunities, for working interpreters as well as students of interpreting, through SLR sponsored workshops, trainings, and events. She is also looking forward to establishing an SLR mentorship connection for interpreters in the Hudson Valley area of New York.
