It is the mission of Lend A Hand Deaf Services, Inc. to advocate and promote opportunities for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing individuals to improve the quality of their lives through:

EDUCATION

	Trainings to encourage and empower Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing individuals to exercise their independence
	Seminars for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing individuals regarding their rights to accessible services and emerging technologies
	Workshops to increase visibility and awareness that American Sign Language (ASL) is the primary natural language for most deaf individuals and should be utilized to the fullest extent possible

PROVISION OF INTERPRETING SERVICES

To arrange for and provide low cost, or no cost, Sign Language interpreting services for special occasions that are not otherwise paid for as per the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) (i.e. weddings, funerals, a first time legal or medical appointment ...)
